Why does scaling ourselves feel like the most challenging task of all?

A recent conversation invited me to reflect on the concept of ‘understanding’ and how often we feel ‘misunderstood’ in our lives. It’s a feeling we’ve

As we go through life, we’re constantly learning lessons and integrating knowledge. This is what enables us to grow, evolve, and be lifelong learners. But

Have you ever felt one of those unfavourable human emotions, such as fear, shame, guilt, anger, and it’s ended up ruining your whole day, week,

I’ve been reflecting this morning on the importance of building a strong and unbreakable internal foundation so that our external reality has something solid to

It dawned on me recently, after observing two sets of friends who are going through similar life situations, that how we perceive a life situation

The Power of You is a podcast for individuals who want to lead their lives from a place of depth, clarity, and truth.
Hosted by founder, speaker, and intuitive Natalie Neilson and Emmy award-winning innovator Bill Harvey, the show brings together two distinct but complementary forms of insight: Natalie’s intuitive channeling, pattern recognition, and grounded understanding of human behaviour, and Bill’s decades of research into consciousness, flow state, and the mechanics of human performance.
Each episode blends intuitive guidance, evidence-based wisdom, founder reflections, and meaningful dialogue designed to shift how you think, lead, and live. If you’re someone who’s growing, leading, building, or simply committed to living with greater intention, this podcast is your space.
New episodes released monthly on Spotify & Apple Podcasts.
The workplace (and world) is changing more rapidly than ever, between AI/tech advancements, geopolitical shifts, redundancies, org restructures, cost of living, etc.. I could go on!
With all this, employees and leaders are being asked to navigate increasing levels of complexity, ambiguity, and responsibility whilst ALSO helping others do the same.
But what if the challenge isn’t the pace of change itself, but instead our capacity to hold it?
While the world doesn’t get easier, we can work to become stronger by building our internal capacity to meet change differently. That’s why I’m excited to collaborate with the @nextjump team in September to host my facilitated growth experience “Leading through Uncertainty, Building the Capacity to Hold More.”
This will be an ACTIVE session with the opportunity to reflect, connect with others, and explore what we’re each being asked to develop as we navigate an ever changing world. If you’d like to learn more, check out the link in stories or comment below and I’ll DM it to you.

As humans, we are all constantly growing and evolving, that means our environments, relationships, friendships, habits, beliefs, and experiences are constantly evolving too.
However, before things change, growth can often appear as ‘friction’. Misunderstandings, frustration, anger, feeling unheard, are all signs of this.
As we grow and evolve it asks our relationships/environments/experiences/habits/beliefs to grow and evolve too.
The friction we experience is often the signal that its time to “renegotiate”. If we are able to successfully ‘renegotiate’ together we both come out as stronger more evolved versions of ourselves, however sometimes the friction creates such a gap that its time to step away.
Neither is wrong, bad or failure, not everything and everyone is meant to come all the way with us, and different seasons of our lives demand different things from us and sometimes we must walk along different pathes. Not better, not worse, just different.
However if aligned, the friction we feel can be our biggest source of growth. What “contracts” in your life are asking to evolve right now?

So excited to be collaborating with @atd_nyc over the next few weeks for their annual ‘Design Day’ initiative alongside an incredible bunch of talent professionals. BIG UP TEAM 4🔥🔥🔥
Throughout July we’ll be partnering with the @laguardiacc to co create coaching and development resources that support educators to drive clarity, motivation and outcomes for the students they support.
You know I bang on about growth all the time, but when we support people to build their internal capacity we expand whats possible for them and everyone else they go on to influence. (Ripple effect baby!!) Thats why this initiative felt exciting and aligned.
Thank you so much to Emily and Daisy from the ATD team for organising. I’m excited about what we’ll create together. Lets goo🚀🚀🚀
What is this experience trying to teach me about myself?
So often along our growth journeys we can get stuck in whats happening outside of ourselves. This happend, that happened, they did this, they did that, that we often miss the signs that these experiences are trying to teach us.
We’re all human and none of us get it right all of the time, and often our own biggest blind spot is ourselves. However when we look for and seek to extract the learning from our life experiences both good and bad its a fast-track path to growth.
By returning the focus to ourselves, no matter how uncomfortable it may feel, it allows us to learn, and integrate our newfound knowledge more efficiently and effectively.
What are your experiences trying to reveal to you?

Often we can stay “too long”in certain relationships environments, or work dynamics and it can sometimes be to the detriment of our own happiness.
Much of this comes down to how we view endings. For many of us we view endings as failure, like we’ve made a mistake, or done something wrong but what if instead we viewed it as completion rather than failure? How would that change things? Would we move forward with more confidence and clarity?
Completion has a different energy/connations. Completion reminds me that i have taken everything from that experience, learned the necessary lessons and now its time to move onto the next chapter. It reminds me of the saying “don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened”
Very few experiences/people/places are meant to come all the way with us and I wondered what would change, if we changed our relationship or perception with endings? Let me know your thoughts.

Along our growth journeys one of the big hurdles we have to overcome is resistance. Resistance is usually the loudest when we’re on the threshold of upgrading our identity and stepping into a future version of ourselves.
You’ll be able to recognise resistance because it feels both mental and physical. It may show up as fear, projection, and your body may feel tight even of the thought of taking that action, upgrading that thought/belief/habit.
We often ‘want’ to become the future versions of ourselves but we can become our own biggest saboteur. Usually we only change when life forces us to or when it gets to the point where we feel more uncomfortable not to move, not to change, not to upgrade the habit, that belief than it does stay the same.
That’s usually the signal. If you’re at this stage right now and you’re reaching the ceiling of resistance know that you’re close and the next version of you is calling.
The old version becomes the loudest just before its about to be replaced and its clinging on just one last time. If you’re feeling resistance right now. Keep moving forward, keep growing, you’re closer than you think.

We did it!! Yesterday, my co-lead Christiane and I, hosted our first @hibobhr In Good Company, London Chapter Event, and my heart couldn’t be more full. We are so grateful to our wonderful panelists Danielle, Rebecca and Christine for taking time out of their day and sharing their insights so openly.
We covered ALOT, from the complexity of balancing business needs with human emotions, the importance of self-awareness and boundaries as leaders, and how difficult conversations, change, and endings can be approached with empathy and care. None of us are perfect; we’re all learning as we go, but being aware, adaptable, and willing to grow alongside the people we lead and never losing our “humanness” along the way is key. Because GREAT leaders create more leaders, and how we show up in the hardest moments often leaves the biggest impact.
A huge thank you to all who joined us, Megan from the HiBob team for her support and @longlin.world/ @creativedummy.llc for capturing such wonderful pics/videos from the event.
Excited for our next event in September... let’s build baby!! 💥 🚀
